La crise vue de l'intérieur est une étude, une mise en perspective du comportement de l'homme avant, pendant et après la crise économique en adoptant l'habitat comme référent à la frontière de la sociologie, de la psychologie et la recherche de bien être. Le mot intérieur serait ici un jeu de mot entre l'habitat et l'intime, la pensée. La crise, avant tout expliqué économiquement, est une corde qui aurait cédé face aux problèmes de pouvoir d'achat, des subprimes et le manque de confiance en la vie. La crise est donc économico socio psychologique. Sans pour autant occulter le fait que l'économie, par définition est une plateforme de libre échange, de troc qui s'avère avec les années de plus en plus virtuelle; elle est aussi une pure création de l'homme des industries nouvelles. En outre, nous sommes en droit de nous demander en quoi le projet de l'homme civilisé serait une créature qui aurait échappé à tout contrôle. Si l'habitat devient un luxe (difficulté à trouver un logement, à le garder ou à le vendre), et si l'habitat est le prolongement de nous-mêmes; alors l'homme serait-il menacé ? En quoi sommes-nous responsables de la crise et en quoi l'habitat peut être un témoin révélateur de notre perte ? Si nous sommes ce que nous pensons et par hypoyhèse nous nous sentons asphyxiés dans notre système économique et social, alors penserions-nous mal ? En privilégiant l'habitat plutôt que l'histoire du costume ou du cinéma, c'est un parti pris afin de mettre en perspective les mécanismes de réflexion, de défense et création de l'homme moderne. La crise vue de l'intérieur propose une corrélation entre ce que nous sommes et pourquoi nous subirions la crise. Et enfin, si nous sommes en mesure de définir l'homme, ses motivations qui l'ont conduit inévitablement vers cette crise, pouvons-nous entrevoir une échappatoire ? Une autre façon de penser ?
