Das Ziel dieser Masterarbeit ist es daher, den Status quo gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung durch britische und deutsche Reiseveranstalter im Bereich der Kommunikation und Berichterstattung zu beleuchten und damit eine vergleichende Studie zwischen Deutschland und Großbritannien durchzuführen. Anhand einer qualitativen Studie werden die Berichtsinhalte und der Webauftritt analysiert, welche britische und deutsche Reiseveranstalter hinsichtlich ihrer sozialen Verantwortung kommunizieren. Die Forschungsstudie konzentriert sich dabei auf Informationen, welche die Untersuchungsobjekte der Öffentlichkeit freiwillig zur Verfügung stellen. Die Forschungsfrage der vorliegenden Arbeit lautet daher: Welche Auswirkungen haben kulturelle Unterschiede auf die CSR-Kommunikation und Berichterstattung zwischen britischen und deutschen Reiseveranstaltern? Tue Gutes und berichte darüber - Die Bedeutung von Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) und der damit einhergehenden medialen Berichterstattung stieg vor dem Hintergrund globaler Herausforderungen in den letzten Jahren zunehmend an. Die Forschung hat den Einfluss verschiedener Faktoren wie Unternehmensgröße, Branche oder kultureller Kontext bei der Offenlegung nichtfinanzieller Informationen identifiziert.
