About the Book

If you could punch a one-way ticket to the other side of the galaxy would you go? What if it changed you forever? What is that makes us human? Is it only our DNA? Doctor Nathan Willis is a Nobel Prize winning scientist, and a thief. He is Chief Science Officer of the Chimera, NASA's first deep space exploration vessel. He steals Chimera with the help of her crew. Making use of cryogenics they leave to colonize humanity on the other side of the galaxy. The Chimera scheme leads Willis to the agonizing choice of altering human DNA to survive, creating a new race, viotions, named for their home planet, Vio. Willis's actions set in motion an epic tale that spans more than three thousand years. The viotion Empire of Rituun rises. A galactic war erupts. Prince Rayvid Varukh is heir to the viotion throne, and a fighter pilot whose unit is under direct control of his cousin Nikoalisch Varukh II who sits as interim Emperor of Rituun. Nikoalisch wants more than victory. He has no intention of relinquishing the throne to his cousin. After crash landing on Vio Rayvid's life is saved by Esara Montvine, a human doctor. She came to Vio to stop a deadly plague that seems to vanish on its own. Rayvid's suspicion that his cousin is trying to get him killed is confirmed by Solomon Fowler a former Earth intelligence operator. Rayvid fakes his death and goes underground assuming a new identity as a bounty hunter. With the help of his new friends Rayvid seeks an alliance with Baron Ovan Batakh, an enigmatic exile who was once a great general of the Rituun Empire under Rayvid's father. Amid intrigue and galactic war, a complex plot unfolds involving generals, battles, pirates, presidents, treason, and, a coups. While Rayvid works to gain his throne Nikoalisch Varukh II is secretly developing a genocidal weapon to completely exterminate humanity. The possibility that the strange viotion plague was no accident has aroused the suspicions of Atha Illi Mantjah, the odd little scientist become Governor of a forgotten little junkyard of a planet called Gothas who, isn't what he seems to be. The Chimera Scheme has changed the galaxy and set the clock ticking toward human extinction.
