About the Author

Anil Bhandari has to his credit a very high profile and multidisciplinary career in the hospitality sector. His past assignments include Advisor – Travel, Tourism, Real Estate and Hotels, ITC Ltd, Chairman and Managing Director - India Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Managing Director - JHM Interstate Hotels, India, Managing Director - International Travel House Limited and Managing Director - Hotel Corporation of India. He is presently Chairman AB Smart Concepts Hotels, Travel and Tourism. He credits himself with having cooked more than 1,000 recipes and the recipes in this book are an integral part of his experiences in a career spanning over 44 years. After securing a three-year Diploma course in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering, Pusa, New Delhi, Anil Bhandari did a two-year advanced course in Hotel Management and Marketing conducted by Carl Duiserg Gesseslchaft, Germany. Armed with a Certificate in Hotel Administration from the Institute of American Hotel and Motel Association, he was also a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, London. He holds a Diploma in German Language. He has written a book ‘Tourism in India – An economic activity’. The book is of immense help to tourism students, planners and research scholars as a text book, and of value to stakeholders both in the public and private sectors. He is also a regular contributor to magazines on subjects ranging from tourism, hospitality and cuisine.
