About the Book

When Waller Caxton's younger brother, Abel, returns with an ex-whore named Cricket, his life in the peaceful town of Silver Gulch explodes into a maelstrom of violence, bloodshed, and insanity. To save Abel from the bounty hunters and lawmen bent on killing him, Waller embarks on a barbaric journey into the untamed lands of Arizona and Mexico where danger lurks like a puma, and the sun burns bloodshot red. Can Waller reignite the fuse of his violent past to find the strength to protect his brother without being consumed to ashes? How far will Waller Caxton go to be his... BROTHER'S KEEPER
About the Author: Brad Ashlock was born on November 3, 1974 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he grew up. His creativity and artistic skills were recognized at an early age-he won several young author and art awards, including an international peace poster contest. After graduating from Godwin Heights High School (1993), he attended Kendall College of Art and Design, winning various art grants and earning his BFA in painting in 2000. From 2001-2003 he attended The University of Chicago, winning a major grant for his expressionistic paintings. During this time, he also wrote two novels (unpublished) and received an MFA in the humanities. Herbert George, the renowned sculptor, called Mr. Ashlock's creative output at the time, "... startling." Brad moved permanently to Australia in 2003, and-due to the difficulties in securing art related jobs after the GFC-pursued a career in international executive-level headhunting. He has become a recognized expert in the field of recruitment, working successfully on several of the largest projects in Australian history, but the creative side has since pulled him back to the world of fiction writing, a renewed career path he is wholly dedicated to. Mr. Ashlock's influences include Edgar Allan Poe, Robert E. Howard, Frank Herbert, Cormac McCarthy, Thomas Harris, and Clive Barker. As a child with a vivid imagination, he escaped the conservative restraints of a small town by delving into genre fiction and comic books. His novels are aimed to entertain, surprise, and thrill. Brad currently resides in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife, Jing, son, Xavier, and their Rottweiler, Sheba. He is dedicated to authoring the most provocative, entertaining novels he can, and is ever grateful to his kind readers.
