About the Book

Welcome to a glimpse into the mind of what some would say is arguably one of the most complex minds they've ever met! I'm more inclined to say that I am in touch with the layers that makeup who I am. Nevertheless, this book encompasses my writing thoughts, whims, and even deepest passions about life, career, relationships, and people. One thing is for sure, when I'm all in, I'm all in to a project. About 18 months ago I committed to incrementally writing a blog that I would one day turn into a book. I wasn't quite sure how the book would turn out, what the format would be, etc. when I first started. What I did know very clearly was that just like any great athlete, you must Practice! So I used the blogging concepts to allow myself the time, space, and opportunity to simply write. With blogs there is no pressure to produce great length. In fact, you'll find people won't read your very long blogs! I struggle to make points concise, so the blogging experience was my almost every day opportunity to hone the skill of brevity. Additionally the blog experience allowed me to interact with readers of my blogs so that I could learn from others all while I refined my own thoughts about certain topics. This book is a compilation or anthology of sorts of my blogs that collectively tell a story. It is as much a deep dive into a variety of topics as it is a deep dive into the inner-workings of my own brain. I hope you enjoy the book and visit my actual blogs...Volume II is already underway!
About the Author: A long-time advocate of education and the empowering effects on personal development, Jennifer Thibeaux has developed a keen expertise for personal, professional, and performance intelligence. Jennifer began her growth and development early in life as a U.S. gymnast - most notably medaling three times in a 1988 US Junior Olympic competition. While pursuing her dream to compete in the 1992 Olympics, Jennifer suffered a career-ending wrist injury at fifteen years old. She carried the lessons of dedication, goal attainment, determination, and passion for success to college where she attended Texas A&M University and earned a BBA in Marketing. Jennifer went on to work for top organizations in insurance and accounting. Jennifer credits her work ethic and structure to the leadership at those companies. While working at a Big 4 Accounting firm, Jennifer gained exposure on a global stage teaching onsite classes in multiple countries regarding International Human Resources Tax. Leveraging her consulting experience, Jennifer founded Primary Consulting LLC in 2004. The business focuses on adult education and Performance Intelligence(TM). Jennifer has worked with large clients in the following industries: insurance, food & beverage, cosmetics, and the airline industry to name a few. Working as a Performance Consultant, she has also worked with professional athletes in both the NBA and NFL to assist with Performance Development, Career Transition, and Readiness programs. It was indeed her exposure to a wide variety of organizational issues that influenced Jennifer to gain her Master of Arts in Education with a dual specialization in Adult Education and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. Currently working on her Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Training & Performance Improvement at Capella University she has become an expert in Adult Performance Improvement and Diversity Intelligence. Her post doctoral goal is to offer education that focuses on viable career choices for professional and scholar athletes "beyond their sport". Jennifer's mission in life is to affect transformational change in society through education. When not in the virtual classroom, Jennifer serves as a professional speaker and lecturer on leadership, emotional intelligence, diversity intelligence, and Performance Intelligence(TM).
