My name is Lior Izik and I live in Toronto, Canada. I have managed multiple IT companies in the fields of programming, design, and marketing. I have experience in web development, apps, security, sysadmin, databases, project management, call centers, QA, and much more. I have been working with offshore resources for over 15 years. Thousands of projects have taken me to many different countries, including India, China, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. I've moved millions of dollars from my bank account paying offshore developers, and worked in areas that most people have never heard of. Some finished on time, and some are still waiting to be launched today. During those 15 years, I tried everything I could think of to attract quality offshore resources. I built my own development centers in Ukraine, India and Bangladesh, paid bonuses, gave penalties, and worked with every online hiring platform that was available. I really have tried it all. About the Author: I have been in business since I was 10 years old, buying bagels on the street and selling them to bankers two doors down for double the price. Since then, I have come a long way and experienced a lot of what the business world has to offer. I've worked as a lifeguard, gardener, dishwasher, garbage collector, masseuse, acupuncturist, marketer, web developer, security expert; the list goes on. My experiences have not all been good; I am no stranger to spectacular failure. I have created many small businesses during my life, some of which hemorrhaged money and closed after only a few months. Though they hurt and embarrassed me at the time, my losses helped me more than my wins ever would. Some of the most important lessons I have ever learned came out of catastrophe. Without my failures, I would never have developed the philosophy that made me the man I am today, turning a street-side bagel broker into a successful entrepreneur. I learned from my mistakes, and fought for a winning record in the business world. Much of this occurred on the internet; my web design, development, marketing, and security companies did great despite being part of a very competitive market. Some of my ventures were sold to bigger companies, and others are still making me money today. People began to take note of the success of my process and philosophy, and would come to me with their business problems. I took on a consultative role and put my philosophy to the test in different industries. To my delight, it passed; real estate businesses, home services companies, call centers and more all benefitted from the lessons I had learned. This changed the way I functioned in the business world; rather than creating my own companies from scratch, I began to merge into these businesses as a partner once I had helped their owners. Today, I am associated with a number of successful businesses, and am happy to have been given the opportunity to help them grow.
