Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Die Informationsfindung entwickelt sich - nicht zuletzt durch die neuen Möglichkeiten der Suche im Internet und in anderen Medien - zu einem immer zeitaufwendigeren Prozeß. Es erscheint zwar möglich, zu jedem Bereich, sei er auch noch so ausgefallen, Informationen zu erhalten, doch steht das so erhaltene Wissen in seiner Qualität oft in keinem Verhältnis zu dem Aufwand, der nötig war, um es zu beschaffen. Dies gilt jedoch nicht nur für die wissenschaftliche Literaturrecherche in Bibliotheken, Zeitschriftenmagazinen oder im Internet, sondern auch für jeden privaten Haushalt, der sich, bevor er Ausgaben tätigt, umfassend informieren möchte. In der Diplomarbeit "Automobilkauf, dargestellt in einem interaktiven Unterstützungssystem im Internet (WIE)" wird eine Konzeption erstellt, die einem Informationssuchenden (Verbraucher / Kunden / Berater) mittels gezielter Informationen und Erklärungen eines Sachverhaltes einen komplexen Vorgang transparent erscheinen läßt, und somit einen Weg zu einer möglichen Entscheidung aufweist (WIE steht hierbei für Wegweiser, Information, Erklärung). Hierbei wird auch auf verschiedene Möglichkeiten des Electronic Commerce anhand der Beschreibung verschiedener Marktplatzstrukturen im Internet bezug genommen. Die Arbeit wurde in zwei Teilen - einem ausformulierten Text und einem Verbund von etwa 200 html-Seiten, die auf CD-ROM zur Verfügung stehen, bearbeitet. Die Gesamtarbeit wurde mit der Note 1,3 (sehr gut) benotet. Die in der Studie erwähnte CD ist nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten, da sie für das Verständnis der Arbeit nicht notwendig ist.
