Susan Wilson BowditchAfter returning from her global travels, Bowditch found her niche in museums where she developed programs first for The House of the Seven Gables, and later the African Gallery in the Peabody Essex Museum, both in Salem, Mass. Later, she managed the oshua Chamberlain Museum in Brunswick, Maine for one season. Next, she joined the faculty of Maine's Mid-Coast Senior College. She teaches courses on issues of African American History-the Atlantic Slave Trade, slavery related to New England, racism, white privilege, reparations, etc.-all informed by her life in Ghana. Bowditch has a Master's degree in Arts and Cross-Cultural Education from Vermont College and a BA in Art from the College of Wooster in Ohio. Along the way, she earned a certificate in Museum Studies from Tufts University and several certificates from the Intercultural Communication Institute in Portland, Oregon. Read More Read Less
