Su Van GelderSu Van Gelder is a queer-nonbinary poet, punk, and public health professional. Su received their BA in Culture & Communication from Ithaca College in 2020 and is currently working on a Master of Public Health in LGBTQ health at Rutgers University. Asan undergraduate they were an active participant in the Spit That! spoken word poetry club as a general body member, Communications Coordinator, and finally Co-president. After opening for Neil Hilborn in Ithaca in 2019 and being selected as a finalist for the 2020 Iowa Review Poetry Award, they thought "Hell, I might be pretty good at this poetry thing." Since then, Su has been published in Beyond Queer Words, Reservoir Road Literary Review, SIXFOLD, and others.
