She worked with children and adults with disabilities in different capacities, from foster parent to teacher to physical herapist assistant, retiring as an occupational therapist after 20 years in the Baltimore City school system. When not quilting or helping with the grandchildren, she loves collaborating with her wife, Spice, creating songs and stories for little ones.
