Heather FerrisHeather Ferris is a compassionate psychotherapist in private practice, a trainer working with hospice volunteers and community grief. She is also a speaker, workshop presenter and a teacher of mindfulness meditation, providing 5-day silent retreats.Hather has been a caregiver to her husband Gary, who has had dementia since 2020, first at home and now in a residential care setting. Heather and Gary spent 20 years working with caregivers and HIV and AIDs in Southern Africa as payback for leaving her country (South Africa) during apartheid.
