Derek G BattyAt the time of writing this book, Derek resides in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, with his wife, Donna. Up until 2002, both had spent most of their adult church life in a traditional/institutional setting in various denominations. Both were ivolved in various facets of church life and leadership. Derek has served in pastoral leadership, eldership, and as a deacon and youth leader. The Lord Jesus radically changed their direction and lives by leading them out of the traditional forms of 'doing church' into knowing Jesus as the sole Head of His glorious church. This discovery led them to understand that God's church looks very different from anything previously experienced. Together they enjoy sharing Christ with other believers in an organic way.
