Collen M Khoza

Collen M KhozaCollen Khoza faced immense hardship and trauma from a very young age. Abandoned by his mother as an infant in his small village of Dikgokgopeng, South Africa, he was taken in and raised by his grandparents. At age eight, Collen and his younger brothe were taken by their mother to live with her in Pretoria, where they suffered severe physical abuse and neglect at her hands. After years of torment and failed attempts to get help, the brothers became homeless and had to fend for themselves on the streets as teenagers. Collen's anger and desire for revenge nearly drove him to murder, but a suspended prison sentence from a compassionate judge gave him a second chance at life. Collen rediscovered his faith, which helped him to heal and find his purpose.Today, Collen is a changed man - a devoted husband and father. He shares his story publicly to help other trauma survivors, especially young men, to open up about their painful pasts and begin the journey of healing and redemption. His faith and resilience, even in the face of unthinkable adversity, are an inspiration. Read More Read Less
