Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Medien, Kunst, Musik, Note: 1,2, Universität Hamburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ansatz Das Erkenntnisinteresse leitend ist die Frage, ob und wieweit zu erwarten ist, dass sich die bisherigen Rezipienten mit ihrem über viele Jahre gefestigten Hörverhalten der relativen Neuheit Internetradio in naher Zukunft massenhaft öffnen und auf ihre neuen technischen Nutzungsoptionen zurückgreifen werden. Um hier zu einem Ergebnis zu kommen und eine Einschätzung über die künftige Entwicklung abgeben zu können, werde ich den wissenschaftlichen Stand der existierenden Literatur zu relevanten Aspekten dieses Themas auswerten und diesen mit Daten der Markt- und Medienforschung zum Hörfunk korrelieren. So stelle ich im Rahmen einer Sekundäranalyse die wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnisse aus der Hörerforschung zur gegenwärtigen Nutzung des Mediums Radio auf der einen Seite den Potenzialen und Eigenschaften der betrachteten neuen Medien und deren Diensten auf der anderen Seite gegenüber. Die daraus abgeleiteten Schlussfolgerungen untersuche ich anschließend daraufhin, ob die erwartete Entwicklung als ein Individualisierungsphänomen betrachtet werden kann oder nicht. Des Weiteren eruiere ich unter Berücksichtigung der Komplexitätsreduktion, ob die Hörer die vorausgesetzte Entscheidungskompetenz bei der künftigen Radionutzung mitbringen oder ob sie ihr Radio - um Komplexität zureduzieren - auch künftig auf ihre altbekannten Sender justieren werden. Eine exakte Klärung des Begriffes der Komplexität im Sinne dieser Arbeit lehnt sich an die Definition Niklas Luhmanns an und wird in Kapitel 5.2. geliefert. Ergebnis Ziel der Arbeit ist es, den aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Stand der Forschung zum Mediennutzungsverhalten, hierbei insbesondere der Hörfunknutzung, kritisch zu präsentieren und durch eine Betrachtung der Potenziale der neuen digitalen Verbreitungswege und Endgeräte eine Analyse darüber zu liefern, welche Perspektiven
