About the Book

In the Vince Flynn/Brad Thor mold of political intrigue, corruption and murder, Barbaric Justice is a thriller set in Washington, D.C.A small band of ex-military patriots can no longer sit idle as they watch their beloved country, as well as the liberties and freedoms they dedicated their lives to protect, decimated by an uber-left administration and a leftist ideology that has permeated America. They will stop at nothing to arrest the downward spiral the country is on, using whatever means necessary to eliminate those guilty of causing a lurch towards socialism, perpetuated by those they deem enemies of the state. There is no tactic too severe, and no target off limits. Legal murder, as they see it, is necessary in their fight against the evil forces attempting to destroy the freedoms which made America the greatest force for good in the history of mankind. Justice, even if barbaric, must be visited upon those deemed guilty. No trials; no due process; only the will of a group of men who have appointed themselves judge, jury and executioner. If the America they love is to return to its roots and regain its position as the most free nation on earth, they must eradicate those who would otherwise seek to undermine this noble endeavor.
About the Author: David Coppage attained his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Criminal Justice from Troy University in Troy, Alabama in 1981 and 1985 respectively. He began his 33-year career in law enforcement in 1981, joining the Montgomery, Alabama police department where he served for five years. In 1986 he left the police department and began his federal law enforcement career as a special agent with the U.S. Customs Service. Initially assigned to the Customs Marine Division in Miami, Florida, he operated high-performance speedboats off the coasts of south Florida and the Bahamas, chasing down drug smugglers. He later worked money laundering and other highly complex undercover financial operations in Miami, ultimately responsible for the seizure of over $150 million in illegal drug proceeds and thousands of pounds of cocaine. He subsequently transferred to the Customs Internal Affairs Division where he worked undercover corruption investigations, including a multi-agency corruption case on the Mexican border, which targeted government officials accepting bribes to allow drugs to be imported into the U.S. across the border. Following 9/11, David transferred from the U.S. Customs Service to the newly created U.S. Federal Air Marshals Service. For the next twelve years he flew both domestic and international missions from Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport until retiring in 2014. David's 33-year law enforcement career is chronicled in his self-published memoir entitled, They Paid Me For This? Stories From Over Three Decades in Law Enforcement. David uses his vast experience and unique knowledge in the world of law enforcement in writing Barbaric Justice to facilitate the story along a realistic path as a team of criminal investigators attempt to solve a series of brutal murders committed in the interest of justice. Politics, conspiracy and intrigue are the hallmark of David's latest novel.
